Another experiment with iDraw, playing with some of the many available effects. I like the glow effect on the moon.
When Art Set Pro was introduced in Nov 2013 I grabbed a copy of that as well. It had some nice new features, but once again I never created anything with it. I think the problem is I’m an app junkie, especially with art apps. I have dozens of them and not enough hours in the day to use them all.
Anyway, the other day I decided it was time to create a finished picture with Art Set Pro and the above image is the result. It started off as a quick sketch using the ballpoint pen and the markers. I then started to play with the much improved brushes in the pro version and finished up painting over the whole thing. I love the way that the paint blends as you paint, just like real oil paints do. The final image was downsized for the web using Art Studio, which may have lost some of the quality.
Thanks for looking, and if you read this far, thanks for your patience.
Another app that I am trialling is UPAD
I am using the lite version of this app and I am very impressed. I like the cartoony look, which is very easy to achieve. Everything is created in vector format, and the selection tool makes it easy to copy and paste parts of a drawing. You can also resize the selected items, as I did here with the palm tree. Although I’ve not used any here, the app is very good for adding hand written text, which is smoothed very nicely. You can zoom to 800% which makes it easy to add any amount of fine detail.
Well, I figure if I keep on drawing them, one day I might get it right 🙂
I installed the ArtMaestro app this morning and decided to test it on the above drawing. This is a great little app. It only has a few options, but it does them really well and the results are fantastic
