This image was actually started in the “Layers” app but I moved it into “Sketch Club” which has a wider range of brushes with a greater range of controls.

Marker Pen Take Two
I had another app waiting to be tested, so I decided to use the same tutorial (see this post), but this time using iDraw, also a vector base drawing program.
Marker Pen
I followed a great tutorial to create this image. The tutorial is on Ron Letkeman’s blog on iPad creativity.
Why not have a look at Ron’s DigitalDrawer Blog
He has some great tutorials and a gallery of absolutely stunning images created on the iPad. I think the guitar is fantastic. Well worth a visit.

Paintbook is another one of the dozens of drawing and painting apps that I have added to the iPad. This is so far the only image that I have drawn in Paintbook, which is a vector based program, but it feels more like working with a bitmap program. Because it is vector based then images can be exported at large sizes if required. You can also export PDF files and even multi page PDF documents.
Paintbook has a rather different interface and toolset than many drawing apps, but it is capable of some great results. Well worth a look.
